Youth/Teen Sports

Every day, we hear about how young people are not as active as they should be. So at the Park Ridge Park District, we make it our business to get kids moving. Our Youth and Teen Athletics programs provide structured experiences for boys and girls of all ages to develop fundamental skills and basic game knowledge. Best of all, we promote teamwork, a positive attitude and a healthy lifestyle, while fostering a lifelong love of sports.

  • All Star Sports Classes
    A great way to introduce your youngster to a sport! These classes are designed for children ages 2-11 to begin basic instruction on a sport as well as teamwork and fun play.
     
  • Sports Camps
    Each season, we offer mini sports camps for everything from skateboarding to basketball. Let your child explore their interests. (Ages 6 & Up)
     
  • Lacrosse
    Full of action, lacrosse is one of the oldest sports in America and growing in popularity. (Boys ages 9-14)
     
  • Fencing
    Fencing is the sport of swordplay and has found a young audience of swashbucklers who enjoy the activity for its action and individual achievement. (Ages 7 & Up)
     
  • Volleyball
    Volleyball in the USA remains second only to basketball in terms of team sport popularity. Our programs are taught by this sport's professionals and focus on every aspect of the game. (Ages 6 & Up)
     
  • Racquetball
    Small, intimate classes feature hands-on instruction on fundamentals, rules and court-awareness. (Ages 11-17)
     
  • Indoor Soccer League
    With no draft and no practice, this seasonal indoor soccer league is designed to provide a team experience for young players. (Ages 7-10)
     
  • Basketball
    Youth from second grade through high school are invited to participate in our instructional, yet competitive, seasonal basketball league. Or, take advantage of our basketball clinics to help develop skills and confidence. Interested in becoming a volunteer coach? Click here.
     
  • Youth Fitness
    We have fitness classes specially designed for boys and girls, ages 7 to 15.
