Skate Park Rules
1. Caution Inline skating and skateboarding are high-risk recreational activities with inherent risks of serious injury.
2. It is highly recommended that helmets and other safety equipment such as elbow pads, kneepads, wrist guards, etc. be worn while utilizing the Skate Park.
3. Skate at your own risk. The Skate Park area is unsupervised.
4. Skaters are responsible for inspecting equipment prior to use to ensure that it has not been vandalized and is safe for skating. Do not use equipment if broken or wet. Contact the Park District if equipment is damaged at 847.692.5127.
5. No personally owned ramps, boxes or other devices may be brought into the facility.
6. It is highly recommended that plastic caps be placed on pegs of bikes.
7. Glass objects and containers are not allowed in the Skate Park.
8. Please be courteous of other skaters and park patrons.
9. The Park Ridge Recreation and Park District is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
10. Smoking, drinking alcohol, using profanity, behaving recklessly or bullying are prohibited at the Skate Park.
11. If the Skate Park rules are not being followed, the Park Ridge Recreation and Park District may elect to temporarily close the park.
12. The Skate Park will close when Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System sounds. One long blast, seek cover fast. Three short sounds, its safe to be around.
13. The Skate Park hours are from Dawn to 10:30 p.m.
14. Beginners Only: Monday through Sunday 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
